This post explains what a professional matchmaker in Singapore actually does, what it costs, and the one thing I do that no app or agency does: I read your birth chart first.

Why the apps wear you out

  • Mixed intentions. Half the people on the app want something casual. You find out on date three.
  • Profiles lie, politely. Everyone is “easygoing” and “loves travel”. Nobody writes “I go quiet when I like someone”.
  • Too many choices. With a hundred profiles, nobody is worth the effort. So you keep swiping.
  • Ghosting. The conversation just stops. No reason. You start to think it is you.
  • Your pattern comes with you. If you always pick the charming one who vanishes, the app will serve you a hundred of him.

That last one is the real problem. The app cannot see your pattern. Neither can you. That is what a matchmaker is for.

What a professional matchmaker does

A matchmaker meets you, learns what you want, and introduces you to people who want the same thing. You do not browse. You do not get ghosted by a stranger. You meet one person at a time, and someone follows up afterwards.

Most matchmaking agencies in Singapore match on a profile: age, education, income, religion, what you say you want. That is better than an app. It is still a profile.

What a birth chart adds

I start somewhere else. Before we meet, I read your birth chart. It shows three things no profile can.

  • How you choose. The type you fall for, and why it keeps ending the same way.
  • How you love. What you actually do when you like someone. Some people rush. Some go cold. Some test the other person without knowing it.
  • What you need. Not the list you wrote. The things that, when missing, make you leave.

Then I compare your chart with the charts of other singles. Birth chart compatibility is not “same sign”. It is whether your needs and the other person’s habits line up. I check that before you ever meet. Each introduction comes with a note: why this person, what will feel easy, what will take work.

You do not need to believe in astrology. You need an accurate birth time and one call. Judge it by whether the reading describes you.

What matchmaking in Singapore costs

People search “matchmaking Singapore price” more than almost any other matchmaking phrase, because most agencies will not say. They price by package, and you hear the number in the office, after an hour of being told how hard it is to meet someone.

Ask for the full price before you sign anything. Then ask what happens if the introductions stop fitting. Mine are here:

  • Natal Reading, the written portrait of how you love: S$80.
  • Matchmaking Reading, with a 60-minute consultation and your Match Profile card: S$230.
  • The whole path: S$300 Inside the pool, S$20 for each member’s card you choose to read.

No charge per introduction. No surprise in the office. Every price is on the Reports page, in SGD or RMB.

Who this suits

  • You want a partner, not more dates.
  • You are busy. You would rather meet three right people than thirty wrong ones.
  • You are private. Your face is not going on an app.
  • You are divorced or starting again. You want to do it differently this time.
  • You keep repeating the same story and you want to know why before the next one starts.

How to choose a matchmaker

Five questions. Ask them of anyone, including me.

  1. How do you decide who to introduce me to? “Our database” is not an answer.
  2. Who will I deal with? One person who knows your story, or whoever is free that week?
  3. What is the full price? If they will not say before you visit, that is your answer.
  4. What happens after a bad date? There should be a conversation, not just the next name.
  5. What if I am not ready? A good matchmaker will tell you. A bad one will take your money anyway.

In short

The apps give you volume. An agency gives you a filter. A chart gives you the reason it has not worked yet, and the fix. If you have had enough of swiping, start with your chart. See how matchmaking at Celestial Harmony works, or message me with your birth date, time and place.

FAQs

Is matchmaking better than dating apps?

For someone who wants a long-term partner, yes. Apps are built for volume. Matchmaking is built for fit. If you want something casual, the apps are fine.

How does matchmaking in Singapore work?

You meet the matchmaker, they learn what you need, and they introduce you to people who fit. At Celestial Harmony the first step is your birth chart, so the “learning what you need” part is done before the first call.

Who uses a professional matchmaker?

Busy professionals, people who are done with apps, people starting again after a divorce, and anyone who is private. The common thread is that they are serious.

Is a matchmaker worth the money?

It is worth it if you are serious and the matchmaker is honest about fit. It is not worth it if you are paying for a database and a quota. Ask the five questions above.

How do I pick the right matchmaking service in Singapore?

Pick the one that can explain how it matches, names the person you will deal with, and gives you the full price before you sign. Then pick the one whose method makes sense to you.
